“As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real life Wonder Women—Gal and Patty,” stated Emmerich.
In addition to Gadot, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen. ]]>The Warner Bros. flick made quite a mark at the box office when it was released in June 2017.
The film, starring Gal Gadot as the titular character, earned $103.2 million during its opening weekend and went on to claim a total of $821.8 million worldwide.
But now Diana Prince’s reign has been overtaken by a fellow comic book star — albeit more of a villainous kind.
Venom, which features the character who is a nemesis of Spider-Man, may have gotten mixed reviews from both critics and audiences, but has done pretty well at the box office.
So well, in fact, that the Marvel blockbuster has now earned $822.5 million at the global box office.
The figure places the Tom Hardy film ahead of Wonder Woman, and on track to become one of the biggest box office earners.
Take that, Princess.

Set in 1984, the blockbuster was originally set for release December 13th 2019. Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, announced the new release date for Wonder Woman 1984 as June 5th 2020.
Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!!

The actress behind the bulletproof bracelets, Gal Gadot, is currently filming the sequel in the DC series, Wonder Woman 1984, but decided to take time out to pay a very special visit.
On Friday, the 33-year-old showed up at the Inova Children’s Hospital in Annandale, Virginia, in full Wonder Woman regalia.

The poster for Deadpool 2 shows Ryan in his red and black suit… and a rather familiar pose. The stance — depicting Deadpool making an “X” with his arms — appears to have been “borrowed” from another superhero — Wonder Woman.
And Gal Gadot definitely noticed.
The princess of Themyscira didn’t whip out her Lasso of Truth, but rather called out Ryan on Twitter.

Is it just us who would love to see a Wonder Woman / Deadpool crossover despite not even being in the same universe?!
