Kristen Wiig best start sharpening her claws.
The comedic actress has been trying her hand at the serious acting of late — but now she’s set to become villainous.
The Downsizing star has been cast as the villain in the Wonder Woman sequel as confirmed by the director, Patty Jenkins, who will once again be at the helm after signing a deal to make her the highest-paid female filmmaker in history.

Kristen is expected to play Cheetah, whose powers include super-strength and insanely sharp claws, in the film which is set to take place in the 1980s during the Cold War.

The first film in the DC Comics franchise earned $821.8-million worldwide.
Production on the sequel is due to begin in May, with a November 1st, 2019 release date already confirmed.
