“Wonder Woman 3” is Already on the Way

It’s been less than a week since Wonder Woman 1984 premiered in theaters around the world and on HBO Max, but its sequel is already on the way. Warner Bros. green-lit the third movie in the superhero series after seeing the strong box office numbers of its predecessor.

Warner Bros. Pictures Group’s chairman Toby Emmerich announced the threequel in an official statement and confirmed that the director Patty Jenkins and the leading lady Gal Gadot will return to concluded the long-planned trilogy.

“As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real life Wonder Women—Gal and Patty,” stated Emmerich.

In addition to Gadot, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen. It was theatrically released on December 25th, and grossed $85 million worldwide during its opening weekend, in addition to being seen by millions of HBO Max subscribers, after simultaneously premiering on this social media platform.
