]]>Bridgerton follows the adventures of the members of the powerful Bridgerton family, as they rise through the ranks of Regency-era England. The first season centered on the eldest Bridgerton daughter Daphne and her love affair with the brooding Duke of Hastings, while the second will shift focus onto her brother Anthony as he dominates the social season.
According to the series creator Chris Van Dusen, Anthony will have a new love interest next season, and he promised his journey will “be as sweeping and moving and as beautiful” as fans of this show expect. Season 2 will introduce some new characters, but many fan favorites are expected to make a comeback.
Bridgerton is the first Netflix show under the Shondaland banner, and it reached 63 million households in the 28 first days since its premiere on December 25th, 2020.

]]>O. Russell’s frequent collaborator Christian Bale has been cast as the lead in this mysterious project about a year ago, before its production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Margot Robbie later joined the project, and John David Washington quickly followed, replacing Michael B. Jordan who dropped due to scheduling conflict.
This movie finally started shooting in Los Angeles this month, and O. Russell ended up rounding out the entire ensemble. The full cast now includes such stars as Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Alessandro Nivola.
Expectations are running high for this project because O. Russell directed many actors to Oscar-nominated performances in the past. The plot of this untitled movie is still being kept under wraps, and it will be O. Russell’s first directorial effort since the 2015 biopic Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence.

]]>Warner Bros. Pictures Group’s chairman Toby Emmerich announced the threequel in an official statement and confirmed that the director Patty Jenkins and the leading lady Gal Gadot will return to concluded the long-planned trilogy.
“As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real life Wonder Women—Gal and Patty,” stated Emmerich.
In addition to Gadot, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen. It was theatrically released on December 25th, and grossed $85 million worldwide during its opening weekend, in addition to being seen by millions of HBO Max subscribers, after simultaneously premiering on this social media platform.

The late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman was named as Hero for the Ages, while Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot received the She-Ro award. Kevin Hart took the GOAT award for Comedy Giant, while Jamie Lee Curtis was named as the most beloved Scream Queen.
MTV Film and TV Awards usually take place in the spring, between April and June, and they’re promising a “bigger and better than ever” ceremony in 2021. Its date is still a mystery since many other major ceremonies shifted their dates in the last few months.

]]>BTS’ latest record hit no. 1 with 242,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. during its first week on the Billboard 200. To make the whole thing even more impressive, Be isn’t even their first album to top the chart in 2020—Map of the Soul: 7 did the same back in February.
Along with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, BTS is currently the only act with two albums atop the Billboard 200 this year. They’re also the fastest group to score five chart-topping albums since the Beatles.
The chart-topping success of Be comes only a few days after BTS made Grammys history by becoming the first K-pop act to score a nomination with their for best pop duo/group performance nod for “Dynamite”. They thanked the Recording Academy and their fans on Twitter, for listening to their music and sympathizing with it during such a difficult time.

]]>The 24-year-old actor shared the first look at the new Marvel film Spider-Man 3 on his Instagram page. The image of the famous superhero was, however, sporting a very 2020 appropriate addition.
The actor, who plays Peter Parker, was clad in the iconic spidey suit. Holland was also wearing a white PPE face mask. “Wear a mask, I’m wearing two…,” he captioned the behind-the-scenes pic.
The still untitled third installment of the franchise, recently resumed its production in Atlanta.
Joining Holland in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel is Benedict Cumberbatch, who will star as his Marvel character Doctor Strange. It is reported that Jamie Foxx is in talks to reprise his role of Electro in the film.
Not much is known about the film as Holland, who has a reputation for revealing spoilers, has been secretive about the film’s details.
“I’m not gonna tell you anything about it because I’ve learned my lesson,” Holland said in a video posted to social media after he was delivered the script for Spider-Man 3 in late October. “But I’m so excited … I’m gonna read this now and I can’t wait.”
Spider-Man 3 is slated to be released in December 2021, five months after its initial date.

]]>The production company behind Scream 5, Project X, will be working on the reboot to Jerry Lewis’ 1963 comedy in which he directed from a script he co-wrote with Bill Richmond, which was a parody of Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1886 novella Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Lewis also starred in the film playing a nerdy college professor who concocts a potion to make his life better and he turns into a handsome man named Buddy Love, who ends up pursuing one of his students played by Stella Stevens.
The Nutty Professor is regarded as one of Lewis’ most memorable films of his long career. It was so successful that it was rebooted in 1996 with Eddie Murphy starring as the professor. Murphy also played the alter ego Love and five of the professor’s family members and Jada Pinkett Smith starred in the reboot. The film was a huge box office success and was later made into a sequel in 2000 titled The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps.

]]>The Witcher prequel titled The Witcher: Blood Origin, will be “set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time—the origin of the very first Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal ‘conjunction of the spheres,’ when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one,” according to Netflix.
The Witcher: Blood Origin will be shot in the UK and no cast information has been released yet.
The prequel is using the crew from The Witcher—Declan de Barra, a writer on Season 1 of The Witcher, will act as executive producer and showrunner, and the shows executive producer and showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, will executive produce the prequel series.
De Barra said, “As a lifelong fan of fantasy, I am beyond excited to tell the story ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin.’ A question has been burning in my mind ever since I first read ‘The Witcher’ books: What was the elven world really like before the cataclysmic arrival of the humans? I’ve always been fascinated by the rise and fall of civilizations, how science, discovery, and culture flourish right before that fall.”
Schmidt Hissrich added, “I am so thrilled to collaborate with Declan and the Netflix team on ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin.’ It’s an exciting challenge to explore and expand the Witcher universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski, and we can’t wait to introduce fans to new characters and an original story that will enrich our magical, mythical world even more.”
The second season of The Witcher is set to resume production in August.

]]>Law is currently in talks to play Captain Hook in the live-action film directed by David Lowery (Pete’s Dragon) from the screenplay that Lowery co-wrote with Toby Halbrooks. The film’s based on the J.M. Barrie novel about Peter Pan, the boy who didn’t age, and the children he takes to Neverland.
To date, the 1953 animated film from Disney is the most successful adaptation of the novel, but other films, including Steven Spielberg’s Hook starring Robin Williams and Joe Wright’s Pan, have also adapted the book.
Law will join former Hools Dustin Hoffman, Jason Issacs, and Garret Hedlund if he signs onto the project.
So far, Ever Anderson as Wendy and Alexander Molony as Peter Pan have been announced as part of the cast. Disney had to halt production on the film in March due to the coronavirus.
Law has starred in many television and film roles and his most recent works are in HBO’s The New Pope and Paramount’s Rhythm Sections. He will be reprising his role as Dumbledore in the next Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film.
Disney’s live-action adaptations have been a huge hit this year with the release of Aladdin and The Lion King, which made over $1 billion at the global box office. There’s even a sequel in the works for Aladdin’s live-action film.
