Love isn’t always easy, and the new track from Avicii highlights just that.
The Swedish DJ passed away in April 2018, but numerous notes, emails, and near-completed songs have enabled his longtime collaborative producers, Al Fakir and Pontare, keep his sound alive.
The result is an upcoming album entitled TIM which is named for Avicii’s real name, Tim Bergling.
The album’s initial track, “SOS,” was released last month, with the sophomore song, “Tough Love,” now hitting the airwaves.
“We scream and we fight like there’s nothing to lose / End of the day, come and take my arm / There’s no place I’d rather be than in your arms,” state the lyrics sung by Agnes, Pomtare’s wife, in conjunction with Vargas.
“This one needs to be a duet. Coolest thing would be a real couple. Or a couple that have worked together enough to be almost considered a couple!” Avicii had written in his notes about the song.
We hope he would be proud of the final product.
