Justin Bieber just dropped a new single called “I Don’t Care” with good friend Ed Sheeran, which will undoubtedly be the new anthem for summer 2019.

The song is near and dear to Bieber, who has been struggling with and receiving treatment for depression.

As of late, Bieber has been much more open with fans about grappling with anxiety, fear, and other mental health issues. He even asked fans to “pray for him” in March, because he was “struggling a lot, and feeling super disconnected.”

This is the first time that Sheeran and Bieber have collaborated since Bieber’s 2015 hit “Love Yourself.” This time it is Bieber who is featured on Sheeran’s song, and the lyrics hit close to home and are symbolic of the work he has been doing on himself personally.

The support of wife Hailey, and friends like Sheeran and Ariana Grande has been instrumental to Bieber’s overall well-being.

Some lyrics from the song read similar to Bieber’s own social media posts, namely “You’re making me feel like I’m loved by somebody.”

Earlier this month he wrote on Instagram, “I haven’t believed the truth about myself I haven’t believed I am loved.”

Thankfully, the singer is beginning to feel more himself, and is gracing us with his voice again. Here’s to a summer of Bieber Fever.
