We’re Getting More Doses of “Grey’s Anatomy”

Ellen Pompeo in "Grey's Anatomy"

Grey’s Anatomy isn’t flatlining just yet.

The staff at Grey-Sloan Memorial are not going anywhere as the series has been renewed for not one, but two more seasons.

And that includes Dr. Meredith Grey herself, Ellen Pompeo.

The actress had previously been unsure about her future on the show.

“I’m contracted through Season 16,” she stated last January. “And beyond that… I don’t really know. I take it day-by-day.”

That day has now come along with the Grey’s renewal, which will see both the medical drama and Pompeo sticking around until 2021 with seasons 16 and 17.

The renewal is also good news for Chris Carmack, Jake Borelli, and Greg Germann, who will officially become series regulars in Season 16.

Krista Vernoff will retain her role as showrunner while also pulling double duty as the showrunner of the Grey’s spin-off, Station 19, which has also been picked up for a third season.

We’re definitely keen for another dose.
