Little Women star Timothée Chalamet is in talks to star in a new film as Bob Dylan.
Chalamet is set to play the folk icon in a still untitled film from Ford v Ferrari filmmaker James Mangold.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the film takes place in 1965, when the folk legend made a controversial shift to rock and roll and the electric guitar.
This would be Mangold’s second time telling the story of a musical icon. The filmmaker co-wrote and directed the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line, which starred Joaquin Phoenix as Cash and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter Cash.
It’s going to be a big year for the Oscar nominated actor. Chalamet is also set to star in the new Wes Anderson film The French Dispatch as well as in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune adaptation.
