Taylor Swift fans know that the number 13 brings good things!
While unlucky for some, the baker’s dozen is the “ME!” singer’s favorite digit.
And so, on June 13th, she decided to do something fabulous for her fans by releasing a new single and details of her new album!
“So a lot of people, I saw, had a theory regarding the idea of ‘Calm etc. etc.’ I can confirm that I have a new single tonight coming out tonight at midnight. It’s called ‘You Need to Calm Down.’ I’m so excited for you to hear it,” the 29-year-old singer told fans in her Instagram Story.
The fun track, released in the middle of Pride Month, includes lyrics like, “Why are you mad when you could be GLAAD?“ in reference to the The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
Tay Tay also revealed that her 7th studio album will be called Lover and include 18 songs.
“This album in tone, it’s very romantic — and not just thematically, like it’s all love songs,” she said. “I think the idea of something being romantic, it doesn’t have to be a happy song. You can find romance in loneliness or sadness or going through a conflict or dealing with things in your life… It looks at things with a very romantic gaze.”
