The movie, which will premiere on July 24th, 2020, has a complicated plot.
“[It’s about an] American journalist based in France [who] creates his magazine. It is more a portrait of this man, of this journalist who fights to write what he wants to write. It’s not a movie about freedom of the press, but when you talk about reporters you also talk about what’s going on in the real world,” Anderson said.
The film’s release date hints at a possible premiere at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival – a festival that Anderson has not participated in since 2012’s Moonrise Kingdom. His last two films debuted at the Berlin Film Festival.

]]>This project is being developed by Oscar winner Peter Farrelly and his brother Bobby Farrelly, and it “examines what exactly makes life worth living”. It tells the story of Ed Poole (Dave Franco) who makes a decision to live in “the now” after a secret from his past threatens to destroy his future.
We still don’t know what to expect from Murray’s role in this comedy series, but he’ll be in a pretty good company. The cast of The Now also includes O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill), and Jimmy Tatro (American Vandal).
This Quibi show isn’t the only exciting project that Bill Murray has on the way. He’ll team up with his frequent collaborator Wes Anderson in The French Dispatch and return to the iconic role of Dr. Peter Venkman in the upcoming sequel Ghostbusters 2020.

Now, fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the OG Ghostbusters legend will be making his “who you gonna call?” comeback.
Co-star Dan Aykroyd shared the news in an interview with The Gregg Hill Show. He also shared that director Jason Reitman has written “a beautiful, heartfelt script that takes the real DNA from the first two movies and transfers that directly to the third, the next generation. It hands the legacy off to a new generation of stars, and players, and actors, and characters.”
The sequel is set in the same universe as the 80s Ghostbusters movies. Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver will also be reprising their roles alongside Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray. New cast members include Paul Rudd, McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Carrie Coon.
Ghostbusters 2020 will be released in movie theaters on July 10.

Sounds whacky enough for Anderson.

]]>Now, Ruben Fleischer, the director of the upcoming sequel Zombieland Double Tap, hints we may see him again in the new movie.
In a recent interview Fleischer said: “I share that love of Bill Murray in the first one. I don’t know how you could ever top that, but if someone were to stay to the finish of the film, perhaps they might see something a little special…”
Does this mean we will be treated to a post credit scene or to something more substantial? We’ll have to wait and see.
The first movie was released in 2009 and was a commercial as well as critical success. Its budget was not very big — $23 million — and it earned $102 million around the world. The long-anticipated sequel sees the original cast — Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin — return to their roles. They will be joined by Zoey Deutch, Luke Wilson, Thomas Middleditch and Rosario Dawson.
