Will Bill Murray Return in “Zombieland Double Tap”? It’s Very Likely

Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray in "Zombieland"

Bill Murray is known as one of the best comedic actors of all time, and his cameo in Zombieland is one of the most beloved parts of the comic horror movie. He may only appear for a few shots before being accidentally killed by Jesse Eisenberg’s Columbus, but those shots are well remembered.

Now, Ruben Fleischer, the director of the upcoming sequel Zombieland Double Tap, hints we may see him again in the new movie.

In a recent interview Fleischer said: “I share that love of Bill Murray in the first one. I don’t know how you could ever top that, but if someone were to stay to the finish of the film, perhaps they might see something a little special…”

Does this mean we will be treated to a post credit scene or to something more substantial? We’ll have to wait and see.

The first movie was released in 2009 and was a commercial as well as critical success. Its budget was not very big — $23 million — and it earned $102 million around the world. The long-anticipated sequel sees the original cast — Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin — return to their roles. They will be joined by Zoey Deutch, Luke Wilson, Thomas Middleditch and Rosario Dawson.
