“Face/Off” Reboot Is Officially in the Works

Another movie has boarded the reboot train.

Multiple outlets report that the 1997 action film Face/Off starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage is getting a reboot.

Paramount tapped Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) to pen the script. Neal Moritz is producing and original producer David Permut will executive produce. No actors or director have yet come on board for the reboot.

The 1997 movie saw Travolta and Cage play FBI agent Sean Archer and terrorist Castor Troy, respectively, who each took on the other’s physical appearance via surgery.

The film, which was shot on an $80 million budget, was an expected hit earning $245 million global gross.
