Shawn Mendes’ next album is coming our way later this year, and he gave us a taste of things to come with the titular single “Wonder”. The music video for this song is a cinematic masterpiece, and it will take you on a wonderful, magical journey.
The emotional visual directed by Matty Peacock opens with Mendes sitting on a train, but he doesn’t stick around for too long. After climbing to the top of the train, the singer is transported to the woods, where we watch him dance and run to the edge of the cliff where the sea meets the forest.
“Wonder” serves as the perfect interlude for Mendes’ next album, which sounds as moving as the single it was named after.
“It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been. It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time,” wrote Mendes on Instagram.
“Wonder” will be released on December 4th, and the singer is yet to share the rest of the track list with the world.
