Ryan Reynolds Confirms “Deadpool 3”

Ryan Reynolds is getting ready to pull on that skin-tight spandex suit again.

The 6 Underground actor has thrilled Deadpool fans the world over by confirming that a third film in the franchise is in development.

Reynolds shared the news while making an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan. “We’re working on it right now with the whole team,” he said. “We’re over at Marvel, which is the big leagues all of a sudden. It’s kind of crazy.”

This is the first time that the anti-hero will be in the hands of Marvel Studios, as Disney bought 20th Century Fox for $71.3 billion in March. As a result, Fox’s former president of production Emma Watts, who was a major player in Deadpool and Deadpool 2, will not oversee the threequel.

Despite Disney now being involved, it is expected that Deadpool will retain its characteristic crude flavor. As an R-rated superhero flick, Deadpool is laden with curse words and lewd humor, with Deadpool 2 previously holding the title of largest-earning R-rated film until it was surpassed by Joker earlier this year when the Joaquin Phoenix-led film hit $1 billion at the box office.
