RuPaul’s Daytime Talk Show is a No-Go on Fox

Fox Television Studios has decided not to go ahead with a daily syndicated talk show hosted by RuPaul.

The show, titled RuPaul, was produced by Telepictures and had a three-week test run this summer on select Fox TV stations. RuPaul was among four other strips to get a limited run on the Fox TV stations. The other ones were Jerry O, starring Jerry O’Connell, Breakthrough with Dr. Steve Perry, and Central Ave.

Breakthrough was also canceled and there hasn’t been any decisions on Jerry O or Central Ave. The station has run several trials throughout the years and a few were picked up – 25 Words or Less hosted by Meredith Viera, The Wendy Williams Show, and The Real.

RuPaul featured the RuPaul’s Drag Race host interviewing celebrities. The news of the cancellation comes after Fox Television committed to a new daytime talk show next fall, Nick Cannon, which is set to air twice daily on Fox-owned affiliates.
