Renée Zellweger to Star in Netflix Drama ‘What/If’

Renée Zellweger is heading to television for her first-ever TV series regular role.

The Oscar-winning actress has been tapped to star n Netflix’s upcoming anthology What/If. 

The drama helmed by Revenge and Swingtown creator Mike Kelley has been greenlit for 10 episodes.

According to the streaming giant, What/If will explore “the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. Each season will tackle a different morality tale inspired by culturally consequential source materials and the power of a single fateful decision to change the trajectory of an entire life.”

Kelley will serve as showrunner and will pen the script. He will exec produce alongside Melissa Loy, Alex Gartner, Charles Roven, Robert Zemeckis, and Jack Rapke.

Zellweger will portray Anne. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first installment might focus on newlyweds, however, details about the plot and characters are being kept under wraps.
