Scarlett Johansson has dethroned Emma Stone as the highest paid actress in Hollywood.
Johansson has snagged the top spot on Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid actresses of 2018 thanks to her portrayal of the Marvel character, Black Widow. According to the site, the 33-year-old actress quadrupled her 2017 earnings, raking in the big bucks for her participation in the Avengers film.
Earning $40.5 million from June 1, 2017, to June 1, 2018, means that the actress nearly doubled Stone’s top mark of $26 million last year.
Coming in at no. 2 is Angelina Jolie with $28 million with Jennifer Aniston following with $19.5 million. Jennifer Lawrence landed the fourth spot with $18 million and rounding out the opening five is Reese Witherspoon with $16.5 million.
Also featured on the top list are Mila Kunis ($16 million), Julia Roberts ($13 million), Cate Blanchett ($12.5 million) and Melissa McCarthy ($12 million) claiming spots six to nine and newcomer Gal Gadot claiming No. 10 with $10 million.
Emma Stone who helmed the list last year is notably absent from the list.
