That’s a wrap!
Filming of season 2 of the hit show Big Little Lies has come to an end and the leading ladies of Monterey celebrated the conclusion of the shoot with heartfelt messages.
Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon both took to social media to thank their on-screen families of the HBO drama. Witherspoon shared never-before-seen behind-the-scenes pics alongside co-stars Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, Meryl Streep, and Kidman. Steep is a new addition to the series, joining the cast for season two as Mary Louise Wright, mother of the recently deceased Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgard), Kidman’ on-screen husband.
“Feeling so grateful to my #BigLittleLies family on our last day of shooting Season 2! 🌟 You have all inspired me, supported me, made me laugh & cry,” the 42-year-old actress captioned the pics. “Making the second season even more exciting than the last (I can’t wait for y’all to see it!!). Thank you @HBO and our amazing Director Andrea Arnold! Big love to my sisters @nicolekidman @lauradern @shailenewoodley @zoeisabellakravitz and #MerylStreep. ❤️❤️❤️,” she added.
Kidman posted a b&w pic of herself clad in a shirt with the names of the female characters of the series.
“That’s a wrap on #BigLittleLies Season 2 filming! What a beautiful journey this has been with my Monterey 5 sisters and our passionate dedicated crew,” Kidman captioned the photo. “Thank you HBO for the amazing opportunity and thank you, Andrea Arnold, for being our fearless leader, and of course the one and only Meryl Streep for believing in us. I love you all. xx.”
The release date of Big Little Lies 2 has yet to be confirmed.
