“Peter Rabbit” Sequel Set for 2020

Get set to return to Farmer McGregor’s garden.

Following on from the global success of Peter Rabbit, Sony Pictures has commissioned a sequel to the live-action version of the Beatrix Potter classic.

The original feature starred James Corden as the voice of Peter (who was portrayed through CGI), as well as Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, Sam Neill, Daisy Ridley, Margot Robbie, and Sia.

The film ranked at the top of the UK box office for 4 weeks, earning $55.7 million and becoming Sony Pictures’ highest biggest non-James Bond film in Britain.

Globally, the children’s tale about the rebellious bunny who attempts to sneak into Mr. McGregor’s garden garnered $325 million.

Easy A director Will Gluck (who also co-wrote the screenplay) will return for Peter Rabbit 2, which is set to be released on February 7th, 2020 in the United States and March 27th, 2020 in the UK.
