Narcos and Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal will be joining director Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig (who was tapped for the villain role of Cheetah) in the Wonder Woman 2.

The details about Pascal’s role are yet unknown, but he has a history with Jenkins. The two of them worked together on the TV movie Exposed.

While the plot details are still being kept secret, we know that the sequel will be set in the ’80s, during the Cold War.

Pascal became known for his scene-stealing performance as Oberyn Martell in HBO’s Game of Thrones. After that, he joined the cast of Netflix’s drama series Narcos. Pascal is currently filming Triple Frontier alongside Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, and Garrett Hedlund in Hawaii for Netflix.

The original Wonder Woman made $412.5 million at the domestic box office and currently stands in 2nd place on the list of highest-grossing superhero origin stories.

The sequel is set to be released on the 1st of November.
