Jennifer Lopez hasn’t released a new studio album in almost a decade and she’s getting ready to give us a major nostalgia overload with her new music. Her next studio album This Is Me… Now is coming our way, and it will mark the 20th anniversary of her record This Is Me… Then.
Lopez described this record as “a philosophy, a reflection, a zeitgeist moment”, adding it’s “about hope, faith, and true love never dying,” It will reflect on the emotional journey she’s been on in the past two decades, shining a spotlight of her relationship with Ben Affleck.
This Is Me… Then was also inspired by Affleck, but the couple has gone full circle in the past two decades, and they’ve gotten married earlier this year after rekindling their romance. This Is Me… Now will even feature a song titled “Dear Ben Pt. II”, which serves as the sequel to the ballad “Dear Ben” from the original album.
This Is Me… Now marks J. Lo’s first album since the release of A.K.A. in 2014. In the meantime, she collaborated with other artists, from Rauw Alejandro to Bad Bunny, and recorded several songs for Marry Me soundtrack alongside Maluma.
