Hugh Grant Doesn’t Get “Love Actually”

On the list of holiday movies, Love Actually ranks pretty high.

Featuring one of the most stellar British casts, the Richard Curtis film includes enough love and laughter to make you all warm and gooey at this time of year — even 15 years on.

But someone who doesn’t quite get the appeal? The film’s star, Hugh Grant.

Grant played the Prime Minister who fell in love with his member of staff played by Martine McCutcheon.

“I don’t know why Love Actually is still so popular,” Grant said, according to Bang Showbiz, although he admitted it’s “nice” that “everyone watches it at Christmas.”

One of the film’s most famous scenes includes the now 58-year-old dancing to the song Jump (For My Love) by the Pointer Sisters.

“I suspect that was the most excruciating scene ever committed,” he remarked. “It wasn’t easy for an Englishman in his 40s to do at 7 in the morning, stone-cold sober.”

Well, we’re glad he did. And we’re glad that we can watch Love Actually for the umpteenth time this holiday season!
