Harry Styles managed to create a lot of hype around his new album, and we all tuned in to listen once it finally hit the shelves. Fine Line received high praise from the critics, and quickly climbed to the no. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Styles’ sophomore solo album followed in the footsteps of his debut to also reach the top spot in the US, but this is not its only major accomplishment. With 478,000 album-equivalent units sold within its first week of release, Fine Line had the third best week of 2019, right behind Taylor Swift’s Lover and Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding.

Despite the fact it hit the shelves only two weeks before the end of the year, Styles’ latest studio effort already managed to become the sixth-biggest selling album of the year.

The former One Direction singer achieved another major accomplishment on the Billboard 200 – he became the first British male artist to debut at no. 1 in the US with his first two albums.

Fine Line was released on December 13th, and it was preceded by three singles – “Lights Up,” “Watermelon Sugar” and “Adore You”.
