Adam Driver had a pretty amazing year, and he’s getting ready to start 2020 with a bang. The Star Wars actor is set to host Saturday Night Live when the show comes back in January.

The popular sketch show will return from its winter break on January 25th, and Driver will be in charge of bringing it into a brand-new decade, alongside musical guest Halsey.

Driver is no stranger to performing on SNL, since he actually hosted it two times in the past and gave us one of the most memorable viral sketches in recent memory with the Star Wars spoof Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base.

This isn’t the only reason why Driver seems like the obvious choice to host the new episode of Saturday Night Live. His latest film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is out in the theaters, and he’s receiving serious award buzz for his performance in Marriage Story.

Driver is in the running for several major accolades, including a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and a Critics’ Choice Movie Award, and he may even win some of them before his SNL episode airs, because many experts see him as the front runner.
