Disney’s Live-Action “Peter Pan & Wendy” Finds Its Leading Roles

Disney’s classic adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan is one of the most successful adaptations of the story to this day. Like many other movies, Disney is now remaking it as a live-action movie titled Peter Pan & Wendy.

Now, Variety reports, the studio has found the two lead characters. Ever Anderson will portray Wendy, while the titular character will be portrayed by Alexander Molony.

Anderson appeared in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in 2017, where she played the younger version of Alice (played by her mother, Milla Jovovich). She will also appear as a younger Natasha Romanoff in Black Widow this May. Molony worked on the animated show Claude and The Reluctant Landlord.

The movie will be directed by David Lowery, who previously directed Pete’s Dragon for Disney in 2016. Pete’s Dragon was a remake of a 1977 Disney musical that included both live-action footage and animation. Shooting of Peter Pan and Wendy is due to begin next month.

It should be noted that Peter & Wendy was originally set to be a Disney+ exclusive, but now it seems it will get a theatrical release.
