Deaths are Coming in the 8th Season of “Game of Thrones”

Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke in "Game of Throne."

It’s no secret that you should never get too attached to a character on Game of Thrones.

But with the upcoming 8th season set to be its last, we’re getting even more worried about who will be shuffled off the Westerosi mortal coil.

And it seems as if executives at the HBO network are playing into our fears (as if they haven’t done for the last 7 years!)

All existing cast members gathered for their final table read where they discovered the fate of their characters for the first time.

HBO’s SVP of Drama, Francesca Orsi, has said, “None of the cast had received the scripts prior, and one by one they started falling down to their deaths.”

One of the show’s first deaths was that of Ned Stark (spoiler alert!), with actor, Sean Bean — who apparently has a knack for dying on screen that is so good he can’t seem to get away from it — now revealing that in his final moments, Ned was muttering a prayer under his breath…

Although the final season on GoT is only set to be 6 episodes long, each is expected to cost $15-million to produce. Season 8 has been slated for a 2019 release.

Let’s pray to the old gods and the new that our favorites make it through to the end.
