Céline Dion gave us the most personal album of her career with Courage, and we welcomed it with open arms. This record climbed to the top of Billboard 200 chart, becoming her first album in 17 years to do so.

Dion hasn’t given us a no. 1 album since 2002 when A New Day Has Come was released, but her return to the top of the charts was a long time coming. All of her English-speaking albums released over the course of the past two decades charted in the top 5, and easily reached no. 1 in her home country of Canada.

Courage came out on November 15th, and it’s the first album Céline Dion released since her husband and long-time manager René Angélil passed away in 2016. This album encapsulates everything she went through since, and the strength that kept her going.

Courage gave us several singles, including “Flying on My Own,” “Imperfections,” “Lying Down,” and the title track “Courage”. Dion embarked on a world tour in support of this album on September 18, and the tour already grossed $33.2 million from the first 19 shows.
