The MTV Movie & TV Awards came back in their full glory on Sunday night and gave fans a chance to vote for their favorite movies and TV shows of the past year. Euphoria was the biggest winner of the night with four awards while Spider-Man: No Way Home came in second with two.

It was a big night for HBO’s teen drama, which managed to beat the likes of Inventing Anna, Loki, Squid Game, Ted Lasso, and Yellowstone to win the award for the best show. It collected trophies in three more categories—the best performance in a show (Zendaya), best fight (Maddy vs Cassie), and “Here for the Hookup” award.

Spider-Man: No Way Home came into this year’s ceremony with a total of seven nominations, just like Euphoria, but only managed to win two of them. It was named the best movie of the year, defeating Scream, The Batman, The Adam Project, Shang-Chi, and Dune. Its star Tom Holland also walked away with one of the night’s biggest honors—the award for the best performance in a movie.

The 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards were held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on June 5 with Vanessa Hudgens and Tayshia Adams serving as hosts.

Foo Fighters will get back on the road this summer. The American rockers just announced a handful of tour dates that will see them play across the United States in late July and early August.

The band will kick off the trip in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 28th before heading to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, two days later. The tour resumes on August 3rd in St. Louis, Missouri, before wrapping up with shows in Bonner Springs, Kansas (August 5th), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 7th), and Albuquerque, New Mexico (August 9th).

According to the official announcement, this is just the beginning, and the group has plans for “many more” shows in the future.

Foo Fighters already have a lot on their plate when it comes to live shows. They are headlining the 20th-anniversary edition of Lollapalooza in July while also committing to an appearance at Boston Calling 2022.

The band will use these concerts to promote their latest album Medicine at Midnight, which came out in February. The album received positive reviews upon its release and made it No.3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts.

Foo Fighters are expected to take a brief detour in October to visit Cleveland, where they will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band managed to get the honors in their first year of eligibility.

The Star Wars franchise is expanding on Disney+, and Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the most anticipated shows in development right now. We already know that Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen will return to their roles from the prequel trilogy, but several more amazing actors are now set to join them.

McGregor and Christensen will star as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader, respectively, but they won’t be the only familiar faces in this series. Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse are set to reprise their roles as Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, who took in Luke Skywalker after Anakin turned to the dark side.

In addition to these four Star Wars veterans, the new series will feature several newcomers. Indira Varma, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie joined the cast in unspecified roles.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is expected to take place 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where the titular character witnessed the downfall of his friend and Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker. The series will start shooting later this month, with Deborah Chow serving as the director.

Biopics inspired by our favorite music stars have been ruling Hollywood for quite some time, and we just keep getting more and more. Robbie Williams is the latest star to get a biopic treatment, in the upcoming movie Better Man.

This coming-of-age tale will be helmed by The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey. He believes that Williams’ relatability separates him from musical prodigies such as Freddie Mercury and Elton John, and that’s why this biopic won’t be just another Bohemian Rhapsody or Rocketman.

“Unlike some people who were born prodigies or musical geniuses and you follow the narrative of the world catching up to their brilliance, this isn’t that story. Robbie is that Everyman, who just dreamed big and followed those dreams and they took him to an incredible place,” Gracey told Deadline.

Robbie Williams’ rise to prominence started during the 90s when he was a member of the popular British boy band Take That. He achieved an even bigger success as a solo performer, with eleven of his twelve albums hitting no. 1 in the UK, and producing many hit singles along the way.

Production of the film is slated to begin this summer.

Netflix is bringing back Ozark for a fourth and final season.

The final season will consist of 14 episodes, split into two parts. Each part will have seven episodes.

Jason Bateman stars as Marty Byrd, a financial advisor who moves with his family to the Ozarks after he starts laundering money for the Mexican drug cartel. His wife, Wendy (Laura Linney), gets involved in his operations including operating a casino and becomes an integral part of his schemes.

“A super sized season means super sized problems for the Byrdes,” Bateman said. “I’m excited to end with a bang(s).”

Chris Mundy will return as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Also returning are Sofia Hublitz, Jonah Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, Charlie Tahan, and Lisa Emery.

“We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving ‘Ozark’ more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” Chris Mundy said. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”

Ozark premiered in 2017 and it’s had 14 Emmy nominations and Bateman won an Emmy for best directing in a drama series and Garner won an Emmy for best supporting actress in a drama series.
