Jason Bateman and Laura Linney in "Ozark"

Netflix is bringing back Ozark for a fourth and final season.

The final season will consist of 14 episodes, split into two parts. Each part will have seven episodes.

Jason Bateman stars as Marty Byrd, a financial advisor who moves with his family to the Ozarks after he starts laundering money for the Mexican drug cartel. His wife, Wendy (Laura Linney), gets involved in his operations including operating a casino and becomes an integral part of his schemes.

“A super sized season means super sized problems for the Byrdes,” Bateman said. “I’m excited to end with a bang(s).”

Chris Mundy will return as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Also returning are Sofia Hublitz, Jonah Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, Charlie Tahan, and Lisa Emery.

“We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving ‘Ozark’ more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” Chris Mundy said. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”

Ozark premiered in 2017 and it’s had 14 Emmy nominations and Bateman won an Emmy for best directing in a drama series and Garner won an Emmy for best supporting actress in a drama series.
