Fans of the animated show will have a bittersweet experience watching the premiere as this will be the last season of the series.

The show, which premiered in November 2018, follows the titular She-ra and her friends on their quest to save their world, Etheria.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show’s creator Noelle Stevenson said that “It has been such an incredible journey so far just getting to share these seasons that are already out and seeing the reactions.”

According to Stevenson, the total number of episodes was known from the start and the story was tailored accordingly. “I’m very happy with where we got to with this story. I’m really excited for people to see it. I hope they’ll be as happy as I am,” she added.

Not far behind it came Bloodshot, the violent comic book adaptation starring Vin Diesel, Guy Pearce, Eiza Gonzalez, and Sam Heughan. It brought in $9.3 million domestically, getting 78% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Deadline reports that Alba will lead a series titled — at least temporarily — Parenting Without Borders, in which she travels around the world to explore the ways different families in different cultures raise their children.

The series will be directed by Kathryne O’kane, who produced the documentary series Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat for Netflix. She will also serve as the series’ showrunner.

Along with Alba, executive producers are Andrew Fried and Dane Lillegard of Boardwalk Pictures, Jamie Patricof of Hunting Lane, Doug Banker of Five All in the Fifth and Trevor Engelson of Underground.

The series is based around a 2013 book, Parenting Without Borders: Surprising Lessons Parents Around the World Can Teach Us, by Christine Gross-Loh, Ph.D. The book follows parents in countries such as Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, Japan, China, Italy, and more and offers insights into their child-raising strategies.

The streaming service has other nonfiction shows on its roster, and Parenting Without borders will join The World According to Jeff Goldbloom, Encore!, The Imagineering Story, Shop Class and more. The premiere date for the series is yet to be fixed.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on New Music Daily on Apple Music, Gaga described the making of the album as a healing process. “Chromatica is all about healing, and it’s about bravery as well… when we talk about love, I think it’s so important to include the fact that it requires a ton of bravery to love someone,” she said.

“I can view the world in whatever way I choose to see it… it doesn’t mean that I’m deleting the bad things, it just means that I can reframe my life experiences and reframe the way that the world frames life experiences to a way that I love and believe in.”

The film will follow Jonah, an overweight kid with low self-esteem. With the help of Hana, a Japanese janitor and former sumo wrestler, he tries to build a dojo and train for the U.S. Sumo Open.

It is still unknown who will play Jonah, but the role of Hana will be filled by American Japanese actor Suzy Nakamura, who played on HBO’s Avenue 5 and ABC’s Dr. Ken.

Richard Galazka wrote the script and Natalie Bailey will direct the movie. Bailey has formerly directed episodes of Run for HBO.

“Richard’s script is literally ‘laugh out loud’ funny whilst delicately exploring themes around body issues, bullying and self-worth,” says Zenou.

Filming is set to begin late spring in Cape Town, South Africa.
