Will Arnett is set to star in a new six-part series titled The First Team.
Arnett will be joined by Chris Geere and the two will star as the chairman and coach of an English soccer team in the new comedy for the BBC.
According to Variety, the series will follow the off-the-field misadventures of three young soccer players played by Shaquille Ali-Yebuah, Jack McMullen and Jake Short. Tamla Kari, Vadhir Derbez, Phil Wang, Neil Fitzmaurice, and Yetunde Oduwole round out the cast.
Series scribes Iain Morris and Damon Beesley said: “We’re so lucky to be working with such an incredible bunch, some new faces and some we’ve worked with over the years, all making us laugh enormously.”
