31 years after our first visit to Rydell High School, it has been reported that a prequel to the romantic drama is in the works.
We all know how the love story between too-cool-for-school Danny Zuko and innocent Australian Sandy Olsson worked out — but how did it all begin?!
If you recall the lyrics to the famous song “Summer Nights,” you’ll remember that the love birds met on summer vacation when Danny saved Sandy from almost drowning.
It appears that the newly-announced prequel, entitled Summer Loving, will explore the relationship that blossomed during that fateful summer and led to them going together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong.
Aladdin screenwriter John August will pen the script, with the parts of Danny and Sandy yet to be announced.
Doesn’t sound like the production has gotten very far, but you can count on us to tell you more!
