Once upon a time, Jennifer Morrison joined This Is Us.

The House star has signed on to appear in the fourth season of the NBC series, which is known for swapping timelines as we join the Pearson family through various generations.

The cast already consists of Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, and Chrissy Metz, with Morrison expected to join in a recurring role capacity.

Not much has been said about the 40-year-old actress’ character, other than she will play a “substantial” role. Some fans have speculated that she will be the partner of Hartley’s Kevin, who was shown becoming a father in the season 3 finale.

Morrison already appears excited for her new gig, retweeting an article announcing her role on Twitter.

The official This Is Us account replied, saying, “Welcome to the family.”

The dramedy has been renewed for another three seasons (with the sixth rumored to be the show’s last), so we’ll see if Morrison sticks around to the end…
