The Ladies of “The Office” are Down for a Reunion

It’s the time of year where no one really wants to think about ending their Christmas break and heading back to work… unless we’re talking about The Office.

It’s been six years since the American adaptation of Ricky Gervais’ sitcom punched in its final time code and fans are still hoping they will receive a memo that a reboot has been greenlit.

Even NBC, which housed the comedy throughout its 9-year run, is on Team Reboot, with Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer and Digital Enterprises at NBCUniversal Bonnie Hammer stating in September that her hope and goal is to do an Office reboot.

With the fans definitely on board as well, it appears as though the only thing really standing in the way of Dunder Mifflin’s employees returning to their desks is the cast itself. Lead actor Steve Carrell has expressed hesitancy at reviving the show, believing that it just won’t be as special as the original…

Carrell appears to be in the minority, however, as co-stars Ellie Kemper, Jenna Fischer, and Angela Kinsey are all keen for round two. The trio appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week when Kemper stood in for the host, and all said they’d be delighted to get back into character.

“I would not do an Office reboot, but I would love to do a reunion special,” Fischer told Kemper. “I would like to get us all together again.” Her colleagues were all in agreement.

We hope they pass this on to their supervisor.
