The meaning of life is about to be provided by Hulu.

The network is set to develop a series based on The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.

The famous novel follows an unfortunate Englishman, Arthur Dent, who decides to leave Earth after it was destroyed by an alien race called the Vogons, and encounters many interesting characters on his journey through the universe.

Disney, which recently bought a majority stake in Hulu, owns the rights to Adams’ novels and produced a movie version in 2005, which starred Martin Freeman, Sam Rockwell, Mos Def, and Zooey Deschanel.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide was previously adapted for the small screen by the BBC in 1981, starring Simon Jones as Dent.

Carlton Cuse, who created Lost, will write the Hulu series alongside Wonder Woman writer Jason Fuchs.
