Janelle Monáe is about to step into Julia Roberts’ shoes.

The Pretty Woman actress headlined the critically-acclaimed Amazon series Homecoming, which came out last year.

She played a woman who worked at a facility that helped soldiers who had returned from combat, but also had no recollection of her time there.

After earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Television Drama, Roberts confirmed that she would not be returning for season 2.

With production on the second season now getting underway, Monáe has been cast in the lead role.

The Hidden Figures actress will play a woman who finds herself in a canoe without any idea how she got there or even who she is.

Roberts will remain involved with the series off-screen, continuing her role as executive producer alongside showrunner Sam Esmail.
