Taylor Swift Set To Open American Music Awards Ceremony

Taylor Swift is one busy lady, but she’ll never say no to an invitation to appear at the American Music Awards. Ten-time Grammy winner will open this year’s ceremony, in her first awards show performance in almost three years.

Swift announced the great news by posting an adorable video on her Instagram, featuring her cat Meredith. The song she picked for this special occasions is one of the singles from her hit album ReputationI Did Something Bad.

Swift received nominations in four different categories at this year’s American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year. She’ll have strong competition in Drake, Imagine Dragons, Post Malone and her good buddy Ed Sheeran.

The 2018 ceremony will be hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and aired live on ABC on October 9. Judging by the full list of performers announced so far, this year’s AMAs are going to be epic:
