]]>The fourth season of the Netflix hit arrives on May 27 and fans have spent the last three years speculating over the fate of the Hawkins Chief of Police.
Hopper appeared to be dead at the end of Season 3 with Eleven and the crew trying to deal with their loss. The teaser trailer for the upcoming season revealed, however, that Hopper is actually alive and being held captive by the Russians.
The Duffer Brothers are very secretive when it comes to storylines, with not much known about the penultimate installment of the sci-fi series. That said, Harbour managed to get some answers about whether his character will be eating Eggos with Eleven at the end.
“I needed to know where he ends up and for what reason he ends up there,” the actor told Variety. “I’m such a harassment specialist that I think I’ve gotten it out of them… I know what happens and it’s quite moving, and quite beautiful.”
As for what that actually is?
“I will hold this one to my grave, I promise. This is a big one.”
Gulp.

]]>The season 4 teaser, titled “Welcome to California”, promises an interesting change of setting, with Eleven attending a new high school. In a letter to Mike, she claims she likes school now because she made lots of friends, but she’s actually struggling to fit in.
Eleven finishes the letter by telling Mike they’ll have “the best spring break ever”, but the trailer promises something more sinister, from car chases to creepy dolls. The trailer follows on the Duffer Brothers’ promise that the new season will focus on a “new horror beginning to surface”.
Millie Bobby Brown leads the new trailer, but she won’t be the only Stranger Things start to return in Season 4. Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and many more fan favorites are expected to come back.
Season 4 still doesn’t have an official release date, but it’s expected to premiere in the summer of 2022 and feature a total of nine episodes.

]]>Priah Ferguson, aka Lucas’ little sister Erica Sinclair, has been upped to series regular for the acclaimed Netflix ’80s supernatural drama’s upcoming fourth season.
Ferguson appeared in four episodes of the second season before moving up to a recurring role in season three. She mostly shared the screen with series stars Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery and newcomer Maya Hawke.
News of Ferguson’s change in status follows the release of the latest trailer for the upcoming fourth season, which was dropped last week. The clip confirmed that that David Harbour’s Hopper survived the event at the season three finale and is now being held as a prisoner in the Soviet Union.

]]>Endgame walked away with the biggest award of the night – the best film of the year – but it also won the awards for best action movie and best male movie star (Robert Downey Jr.). Spider-Man: Far From Home came in second with two awards that went to its stars Zendaya and Tom Holland.
Despite the fact Game of Thrones led the list of nominations in the TV field, Stranger Things dominated this ceremony. The best show award went to the beloved Netflix sci-fi show, but this series also won an additional two trophies – best drama show and best female TV star (Millie Bobby Brown).
When it came to music categories, strong fan base of K-pop group BLACKPINK helped them scoop three major awards – best group, best concert tour and best music video for “Kill This Love”. List of winners also included Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes, and Taylor Swift.

That’s according to Netflix, which has released its viewership figures for the third season of the sci-fi series about a bunch of kids who ultimately save the world(s).
The streaming service does not typically divulge its viewing numbers, but makes exceptions when shows perform particularly well and, in cases such as this, break records.
Netflix claims that season 3 of the Duffers’ show broke the record for four-day viewership thanks to 40.7 million household accounts tuning in. An account is considered to have watched a show if it completed at least 70% of one episode or movie.
Of that Demogorgon-sized figure, 44% — 18.2 million people — have already watched all eight episodes (and are likely already waiting for season 4).

]]>In honor of Netflix releasing the third season of Stranger Things, the ice cream company has created a flavor straight out of Hawkins.
Christened “USS Butterscotch,” the summer treat — which is July’s flavor of the month — is a butterscotch-flavored ice cream that includes butterscotch pieces and a toffee-flavored ribbon.
And if that wasn’t sweet enough, you can have it in the form of a sundae at the new “Scoops Ahoy” in Burbank, California.
As part of the Stranger Things promotional campaign, the show has taken over Burbank’s Baskin-Robbins store and transformed it into the series’ nautical-themed ice cream parlor where Steve works.
Also on the menu?
A waffle bowl called the Demogorgon Sundae, the Byers’ House Lights Polar Pizza — which is a chocolate chip cookie topped with Snickers ice cream and M&M “Christmas lights” — as well as the Elevenade Freeze — a vanilla ice cream and Minute Maid lemonade smoothie.
Sounds like Eleven’s heaven!

]]>After the action-packed trailer dropped by Netflix back in March, the streaming giant dropped another teaser trailer to show that the people of Hawkins can also have fun.

The clip dives head-first into the summer featuring the moms at the catching some sun at the Hawkins town pool. The moms, including Mike and Nancy’s mom (!), lounge casually by the pool waiting for the new summertime lifeguard to enter. In walks Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery), who was introduced in Season 2 as the secondary antagonist.
The clip gives us little in terms of plot, but at least we get to dig deeper into the third season’s ‘80s summer vibes.
The series stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Milly Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Cara Buono, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Sadie Sink.

Filming of the 3rd season of the ‘80s-style series ended a few months ago, with viewers eagerly awaiting news of when we’ll return to Hawkins.
Well, wait no longer, because July 4th, 2019 it is!
Netflix also treated us to a slightly creepy clip which transports us to the eve of 1985 and warns that one summer can change everything…
All 9 episodes of Stranger Things season 3 will be available on 4 July, 2019.

While Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers may not be Eleven’s real mom and dad, they are the closest she has to a set of parents, so it’s only natural that she’d like to see them get together.
“I would love for them to get together,” she said. “Jopper is like my inspiration in life.”
“Winona Ryder and David Harbor are like my parents,” she continued. “On set, they’re like, ‘Stop running, what are you eating, why are you eating that?’ David is like, ‘Another boy?’ And in the show, if they rekindle, that means Will and Eleven will be step-siblings. I would love that because Noah [Schnapp] is my boy best friend.”
David is also shipping Jopper, having told Variety last week, “From the very beginning, I thought that these are two tortured, messed up, beautiful people who are like puzzle pieces that can’t stand each other but actually need each other”

Stranger Things was a close contender, with the folks from Hawkins representing in 5 categories.
In the film division, Marvel’s Black Panther, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and The Greatest Showman all put their hats in the ring with 4 nominations, followed by Avengers: Infinity War, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and IT.
The awards also highlight popularity in music, social media, video games, and fashion, with the royal family’s newest member — Duchess Meghan of Sussex — in the running for Style Icon.
This year’s Teen Choice Awards will be held live at The Forum in Los Angeles, with fans allowed to vote 10 times a day from various platforms.
