]]>Last weekend brought with it the release of the first official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984, finally giving fans their first major look at the Patty Jenkins-directed sequel to the 2017 hit film.
There’s no doubt Wonder Woman 1984 is set to be one of the summer’s biggest releases, but according to Jenkins and the film’s star, Gal Gadot, the two already have a story for Wonder Woman 3 and are even considering a spinoff focusing on the Amazons.
Jenkins talked to press ahead of the film’s panel at Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil on Sunday and teased, “We actually already know the whole story” to the Wonder Woman saga.
She continued: “It’s just a matter of, will we change our minds, and when [to make it]. I think what we don’t want to do is do it back to back. It’s been great doing these two movies back to back, but I think it’s important to give it a little rest in between. And I like doing other things in between. And Gal has other things to do. I never want to make decisions too far in advance. We have to see if we both feel like making the movie we think we want to make when the moment comes.”
Wonder Woman 1984 is expected to hit theaters on June 5, 2020.
