Lady Gaga is officially delaying the release of her new album Chromatica, slated to be released on April 10.

Gaga announced the news to her Little Monsters via an announcement she shared on social media on Tuesday.

“This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic,” she wrote.

She continued: “Instead I prefer that we spend this time focusing on finding solutions. It’s important to me that the attention is on getting essential medical equipment to healthcare professionals, making sure ids who depend on public schools for meals get the assistance they need, and that we help those who will be financially impacted by this pandemic.”

Gaga’s post also revealed that she had also planned to do a secret set at the Coachella Festival.

Kenny Rogers died on Friday night in Sandy Springs, Georgia. He was 81.

A representative for the singer said in a statement that Rogers “passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family.”

Rogers embarked on a farewell tour in 2015, which ran through December 2017. In April 2018 he announced that he was having to call off the remaining dates due to health challenges.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to say farewell to the fans over the course of the past two years on “The Gambler’s Last Deal” tour,” he said back then in a statement. “I could never properly thank them for the encouragement and support they’ve given me throughout my career and the happiness I’ve experienced as a result of that.”

Fellow musicians took to social media to remember Rogers’ musical legacy.

Dolly Parton took to Twitter writing, “I know that we all know that Kenny is in a better place than we are today and I’m pretty sure that he’s going to be talking to God sometime today… and he’s going to be asking him to spread some light on a bunch of this darkness. I loved Kenny with all my heart. My heart’s broken. A big ol’ chunk of it has gone with him today.”

2019 has been a record-breaking year for Ed Sheeran, but the singer announced Tuesday that he’s taking a break from social media and music.

The news comes just two days after he released a music video for “Put It All on Me.”

Sheeran had a great year: his No. 6 Collaborations Project album was his third to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, he broke Billboard Boxscore records on his Divide Tour, and he topped the 2010s most-streamed song with “Shape of You.”

The singer decided it was time for a break. “Hello all. Gonna go on another break again. The Divide era and tour changed my life in so many ways, but now it’s all over it’s time to go out and see some more of the world. I’ve been a bit non stop since 2017 so I’m just gonna take a breather to travel, write, and read. I’ll be off social media until it’s time to come back,” Sheeran wrote in a post.

It doesn’t look like Sheeran will be leaving the music industry for too long. “I promise to be back with some new music when the time is right and I’ve lived a little more to actually have something to write about,” he noted.
