The ladies from Big Little Lies walked the red carpet on Wednesday night, and you know what that means, right?

Season 2 is coming very soon.

Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz all showed up at the premiere for the second — and final — installment of the HBO show, along with Adam Scott and series newcomer, Meryl Streep.

During a panel discussion, Nicole also dropped what seems to be a big little spoiler…

When asked about Alexander Skarsgård, who played her husband in season 1 (and came to a bit of a messy end…), the Aquaman actress said, “He was the most incredible acting partner, and then he came back for season 2.”

At that point, fellow executive producer, Reese, motioned to her co-star to stop talking and Nicole continued by saying, “He has a little bit of a part in the sense of… the basis of… okay, I’ll be quiet. He didn’t abandon us. We’ll put it that way.”

We guess all will be revealed when Big Little Lies returns on June 9th.

The ladies of Monterey have a lot to deal with when Big Little Lies returns next month — including a very suspicious mother-in-law.

The events of season one ended with Alexander Skarsgard’s character Perry being killed, with season two now focusing on the aftermath and what it means for those played by Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woolley, Laura Dern, and Zoe Kravitz.

It also doesn’t help that Perry’s mother (portrayed by new addition to the cast, Meryl Streep) wants answers.

The lies are getting bigger and more tangled with “The Monterey Five” dealing with the new school year, keeping secrets (from mother-in-laws and sons), and even finding new love.

Thank goodness for therapy.

The teaser also revealed that season two of the hit series will return to HBO on the 9th of June.

Fans of Big Little Lies have eagerly anticipated the 2nd season of the series which follows the seemingly perfect lives of Celeste Wright, Madeline Mackenzie, and Jane Chapman, played by Nicole, Reese Witherspoon, and Shailene Woodley, respectively.

The multiple award-winning show, which is based on the novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty, was never supposed to have a second season but created one due to the series’ popularity.

The sophomore installment has also added Meryl Streep to its cast as Celeste’s mother-in-law, Mary-Louise.

Nicole made a surprise appearance on CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on New Year’s Eve where she was asked when we would could expect the return of the HBO hit.

“It’s looking like June. I think June,” the Boy Erased actress replied.

Let’s hope she’s not lying.

Filming of season 2 of the hit show Big Little Lies has come to an end and the leading ladies of Monterey celebrated the conclusion of the shoot with heartfelt messages. 

Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon both took to social media to thank their on-screen families of the HBO drama. Witherspoon shared never-before-seen behind-the-scenes pics alongside co-stars Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, Meryl Streep, and Kidman. Steep is a new addition to the series, joining the cast for season two as Mary Louise Wright, mother of the recently deceased Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgard), Kidman’ on-screen husband.

“Feeling so grateful to my #BigLittleLies family on our last day of shooting Season 2! You have all inspired me, supported me, made me laugh & cry,” the 42-year-old actress captioned the pics. “Making the second season even more exciting than the last (I can’t wait for y’all to see it!!). Thank you @HBO and our amazing Director Andrea Arnold! Big love to my sisters @nicolekidman @lauradern @shailenewoodley @zoeisabellakravitz and #MerylStreep. ,” she added.

Kidman posted a b&w pic of herself clad in a shirt with the names of the female characters of the series. 

“That’s a wrap on #BigLittleLies Season 2 filming! What a beautiful journey this has been with my Monterey 5 sisters and our passionate dedicated crew,” Kidman captioned the photo. “Thank you HBO for the amazing opportunity and thank you, Andrea Arnold, for being our fearless leader, and of course the one and only Meryl Streep for believing in us. The release date of Big Little Lies 2 has yet to be confirmed.

This seems to be backed up by the first image released from the new season, posted to Laura Dern’s Instagram account, showing the pair sitting at the Seaside Coffee Shop.

But, as we well know, nothing is ever perfect as it seems in the coastal town…

Season 2 of Big Little Lies is also set to feature three-time Academy Award winner, Meryl Streep.

Cue the claws.
