The latest teaser trailer for the second season of Big Little Lies confirms that there’s no place to hide for the show’s main characters.
The first season of the drama, based on the book by Liane Moriarty, ended on quite a dramatic note.
The characters played by Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz are now suspects in the murder of Nicole’s abusive husband, played by Alexander Skarsgård.
And his mother, played by newcomer Meryl Streep (you may have heard of her), won’t let them forget it.
“My son is dead,” she says to Reese’s character Madeline. “And I want to know what happened that night. Very tempted to ask you, but I don’t think I would get the truth, would I?”
Eeek. Ladies, play nice…
The teaser also revealed that season two of the hit series will return to HBO on the 9th of June.
