Studio Ghibli Films are Finally Coming to Netflix

We’re finally going to get our Studio Ghibli fix!

Hayao Miyazaki is a master of capturing whimsicality in his films, which showcase magic, friendship, love, and family.

The Japanese filmmaker has developed 21 features through Studio Ghibli, which won the heart of thousands, despite the films being in a foreign language. His movie Spirited Away even picked up the award for Best Animated Film at the 2002 Academy Awards.

The much-adored films will now be able to reach a new audience, as they will be coming to Netflix.

The streaming service confirmed the deal saying, “Studio Ghibli’s animated films are legendary and have enthralled fans around the world for over 35 years. We’re excited to make them available in more languages across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia – so that more people can enjoy this whimsical and wonderful world of animation.”

From February 1st, all 21 Studio Ghibli films will roll out over the following two months on Netflix services excluding the US, Canada, and Japan.
