“Sneaky Pete” Renewed By Amazon For Season 3

Giovanni Ribisi in "Sneaky Pete"

While technically a forgone conclusion, Amazon has officially announced that a third season of Sneaky Pete has been ordered.

The crime drama created by David Shore and Bryan Cranston follow ex-prisoner and con man Marius (Giovanni Ribisi) as he assumed the identity of his cellmate Pete after finding himself haunted by the vicious gangster he had robbed.

The renewal was confirmed on Saturday by Amazon Studios during the Television Critics Association. The actual order was put in about two months ago following reports that the series would receive a California tax credit upon the production’s relocation from New York to California.

Sneaky Pete also stars Margo Martindale, Marin Ireland, Peter Gerety, Libe Barer and Shane McRae. It is produced by Moonshot Entertainment alongside Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. Blake Masters will join the production as showrunner for the new season.
