It’s about time Grey Sloan Memorial found a new ortho god!

Chris Carmack is joining ABC’s hit medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy. After a six-season run on the country music drama, the Nashville alum has been tapped for a recurring role on Grey’s upcoming season.

While it has been confirmed that the on-screen surgical staff will have another doctor join the team, details about the character are scarce.

Season fifteen of the network’s longest-running primetime scripted series comes with quite a few casting changes. Two long-time stars depart — Sarah Drew (April) and Jessica Capshaw (Arizona) exited the series at the end of season fourteen. It has also been confirmed that Kim Raver would be reprising her role as Dr. Teddy Altman as a series regular.

Carmack played gay country music artist Will Lexington on Nashville.
