Shondaland is now open!

Back in August last year, Shonda Rhimes signed a multi-year agreement with Netflix which would see her producing numerous series for the streaming network.

After all, this is the woman who brought us Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, and Scandal.

Less than a year after the deal was finalized, Netflix has announced 8 new shows which will be created by the 48-year-old.

The first is based on the New York Magazine article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” which details how the fraudulent socialite almost bluffed her way into a multi-million dollar deal.

Shonda and her business partner, Betsy Beers, will also take on Ellen Pao’s struggle to make her mark in the Silicon Valley boys club, a tale of African Americans fleeing the south in the early 1900s based on an Isabel Wilkerson novel, an adaption of the Bridgerton novels penned by Julia Quinn, a political series based on real-life accounts of White House staff members, an 1840s-era series set against the backdrop of the then-Mexican state of California, and a dark comedy where an apocalyptic disaster spares a rag-tag group of teenage girls at sleepaway camp.

No time to chill.
