Season 2 of “Mindhunter” has a Premiere Date

Holt McCallany and Jonathan Groff in "Mindhunter"

The second season of Mindhunter is finally coming our way.

Season one of the Netflix drama was released in 2017, meaning fans have had to wait almost two years for the new adventures of Agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench.

Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany will return as the FBI agents who attempt to get inside the mind of some of America’s worst serial killers.

They will also be joined by Anna Torv, who is set to reprise her role as psychology professor Wendy Carr.

Gone Girl director David Fincher will also return as executive producer for the series and will direct the premiere and finale.

According to him, the second season of the show will be set during the time of the 1979-81 Atlanta child murders, during which African-American serial killer Wayne Williams was tried, convicted, and sentenced to life imprisonment for killing two adult males, but never tried for the 23 child murders of which he was suspected.

Sadly, the upcoming season will only have eight episodes, but you can enjoy them from August 16th.
