Scream 5 is coming!
A reboot of the 90s hit horror pic is officially in the works from Ready or Not directors Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
The fifth installment of the franchise from Spyglass Media Group was first revealed in fall 2019. It will be the first movie in the franchise to not be directed by horror helmer Wes Craven, who passed away in 2015.
The original Scream debuted in 1996 and was followed by three sequels released in 1997, 2000 and 2011. The four films earned a combined $608 million in worldwide box office.
Scream 5‘s story details are still unclear.
Spyglass had no comment.
