There’s no stopping Regina King.

In the past 12 months, the If Beale Street Could Talk star has won an Academy Award for her role as a supporting actress in that film, as well as an Emmy Award (her third) for the Netflix series Seven Seconds.

King will now be re-teaming with the streaming service to produce films and shows under her production company Royal Ties.

The 48-year-old may be better known for being on camera, but she also has a rich resumé that includes directing episodes of This Is Us, Scandal, and Shameless.

“I am beyond thrilled to join the Netflix family,” King said in a statement. “They are at the top of their game and as an artist I am so excited to come play in this wonderful sandbox they have created for storytellers.”

King’s sister, former actress Reina King, will be joining her, serving as the head of production.
