Rambo Has a Score to Settle in “Last Blood”

Sylvester Stallone in "Rambo: Last Blood"

If Rambo: Last Blood really is the last in the Rambo series, it’s going to be a doozy.

Sylvester Stallone first brought to life the US Army veteran in 1982’s First Blood, and has played the Special Forces soldier in three follow-up films, with Last Blood being the fifth in the franchise.

The movie from Adrian Grunberg sees the titular character venturing to Mexico in an attempt to save a friend’s daughter from a Mexican cartel that has kidnapped her.

“I want them to know that death is coming and there’s nothing they can do about it,” Rambo warns in the trailer.

Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, and Yvette Monreal also star in the film, which is rumored to be Rambo’s last.

Stallone has embodied the character for 37 years, with his last outing being 2008’s Rambo. Now 72 years old, it could be time for the actor to retire the fighter.

Rambo: Last Blood opens on September 20th.
